OLD TOWN ROUTE

Visit to the Clock Tower

The Clock Tower was built at the beginning of the 1900s, situated in one of the highest points of the urban area and within the town’s historic center. This tower houses a centennial clock (1889) that is still in operation with its original mechanism, which includes manually winding the weights every 24 hours.

A visit to its interior will allow the visitor to personally experience the sensations and chimes of this centennial clock.

Historical Mural

This Mural, one of the largest in the province of Alicante, is an artistic creation made in July 2014, depicting the old Sunday market of the 1940s of the 20th century.

It is located in the parking lot next to the Town Hall, within a recovered space, in accordance with the typical architecture of the 19th century in the area and which highlights the use of Crema Marfil Monte Coto marble, which is extracted locally.

Visita iglesia San Pedro Apóstol

This 18th-century church is dedicated to the invocation of Saint Peter the Apostle, who presides over its altar, and houses the chapel of the Virgin of the Remedy, patron saint of Pinoso.

Among its carvings, the one of the Holy Christ of the Good Death by the sculptor José María Ponsoda stands out.
