Don Pedro’s House

Estás en: Inicio | Don Pedro’s House

A two-story building from the late 19th century, which was owned by one of the town's most prolific mayors, Francisco Rico Lucas, and which hosted visits from national political figures, such as Eleuterio Maisonnave, to whom the street where the building is located was dedicated. Because of the surname Rizo of some of the heirs of this family it is known as “Casa de les Rises”, although the nickname “Casa de D. Pedro” comes from its last tenants, the family of D. Pedro Domenech, who was also mayor. The building is now municipally owned, and it is intended to be used for cultural facilities due to its location in the heart of the city and next to the Clock Tower steps. Currently located there is the new Pinoso tourist office, the educational kitchen and the plenary hall.
